Daily, 11am to 5pm, last entry 4.30pm (last serving in Tearoom 3.45pm).

1 November - 31 March

Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm, last entry 3.30pm (last serving in Tearoom 3.30pm).

Christmas and New Year
Closed on 25-26 December and 1-2 January.

Car parking, entry to the grounds and entry to the Shop, Toilets and Tearoom located on the ground floor of the House is also Free entry.

Very occasionally Duff House may have to close at short notice due to adverse weather conditions or other reasons out with our control. Please check The Historic Scotland closure page for any unexpected site closures. You can also follow closure tweets from @welovehistory using #hsclosure. Alternatively please call us before you set off to check we are open.

  • Concession £5.70

  • Exhibition only £4.40
  • Groups of 11 or more entitled to 10% discount when booked in advance
  • Educational Groups free when booked in advance

Tickets can be purchased on the day or online in advance.

Members of the following organisations are entitled to Free entry to the House although there may be a charge for entry to Exhibitions:

  • Friends of Duff House
  • Friends of Historic Scotland (including Explorer and Shortbreak tickets)
  • The Art Fund (NACF)
  • English, Welsh and Manx Heritage (Conditions apply)
  • Carers of Disabled Visitors

Admission prices are subject to change. You will be charged the correct admission when buying your tickets on our official webstore.

Proof of entitlement to a concession rate or to Free entry must be shown on arrival.

Did you know

In the 1870s a young apprentice gardener at Duff House kept a diary while working on the family's estate. John Donaldson later emigrated to America where he rose to become head of the cut flower market in New York. He died in New York in 1949.
