We ask visitors not to take photographs or to film inside Duff House without prior consent. You are welcome to take photographs or to film video outside the house and grounds at any time.
The collection is primarily in the care of National Galleries of Scotland who permit limited photography for private non-commercial use. You may wish to consult the National Galleries of Scotland Picture Library to find out what images are already available. If you wish to take photographs during your visit then please contact us in advance to obtain permission. We will need to know the date of your proposed visit and which rooms or works you wish to photograph. If you are coming as part of a group or club then it would also be useful to know how many will be in your party.
Please note that flash photography is not allowed at any time and no item from the Collection may be moved without explicit permission beforehand from the Duff House staff. If you wish to film or take photographs in the house for commercial purposes then please contact the General Manager Rachel Kennedy on 01261 813001 or email rachel.kennedy@aberdeenshire.gov.uk.
Application forms are available in the house on request or can be downloaded here [NGS pdf]. Alternatively if you would like further information or would like a form to be sent to you then please contact Duff House.
Thank you.
