House

Duff House prides itself on its excellent access and facilities for all our visitors. There is plenty of car and coach parking nearby, either in the Duff House car park in the woodland area or at the children's play area close to the sports field. In addition there is plenty of parking for disabled drivers at the play area or at the back of the House. Access to the back (east) entrance is clearly signposted on the approach road. There is level entry here and a lift to all floors. There are disabled toilets located on the Ground floor and an induction loop system is available. Coaches can also drop off their passengers at the back of the house as long as they park in the coach park adjacent to the Duff House Royal Golf Club.

In order to make sure that your visit is as enjoyable as possible we do like to bring a few things to your attention. Due to the historic nature of the building and its contents the floors are old and worn in some places and the light levels are lower in some areas than in many modern buildings. We do ask that you take care as you make your way round the house.

We also ask that in order future generations can enjoy this magnificent House you help us to maintain the building and objects on display by not touching. No photography is allowed in the galleries without prior permission from the National Galleries of Scotland. If you are carrying a backpack we may ask you to carry it in front of you or you are welcome to leave it in the cloakroom provided. There are secure lockers available for your use. No smoking is permitted anywhere at any time in the building, however, there is a designated smoking area at the east side of the House.

Unfortunately no pets are permitted except guide dogs accompanying blind and deaf visitors. Also, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Thank you for your cooperation.
