Groups

Groups are very welcome at Duff House and due to the large size of the house and grounds we can easily accommodate coach parties. Parties of 10 or more receive a discount on the entry price to the House. If your group is large or small however please do let us know when you plan to visit by either calling or emailing us. It is also helpful for us to know if your group intends to use the Tearoom for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.

Special discounted rates are available if you book as a group. The Tearoom can accommodate up to 40 people. Larger parties may be split into two and staggered to make the visit more comfortable. The 2011 Group rate for parties of 10 or more is currently £5.70 per person and the driver and group guide or organiser are admitted free of charge.

Groups entitled to free entry to the House are the Friends of Duff House, Members of Historic Scotland, Art Fund members (NACF) and members of the Great British Heritage scheme, which includes English and Welsh Heritage. Proof of entitlement to the free entry must be shown in the Shop. Coach parking is free and the coach park is located at the Duff House Royal Golf Club to the north of Duff House. Drivers are welcome to drop off their passengers at the east side of the House by using the back drive which leads to the back door. This is clearly signposted off the main approach road to Duff House as Service and Disabled entrance. Coaches must be parked in the coach park whilst passengers visit the House.

On arrival your party can start their visit round the house or stay on the ground floor to visit the shop and tearoom. There is also a very good introductory film on the history of the house presented by Kirsty Wark, it lasts about 15 minutes. Shop staff can direct your party to the screening room at any time. In addition to the ticket, which gives a short guide on the history of the house, we also have translations available in Italian, Spanish, German and French.
